For competitive athletes, visual skills can make the difference between success and failure. “I’ve had a number of hockey and lacrosse goalies who are 20/25,” says Jennifer Stewart, OD ’07. “Most optometrists would say your vision is fine, see you in a year. But for them, anything less than perfect could be significant in their playing career.”
